I looked at every easel in my price range, on the web and at Blick's store in person. The St Remy is the one I chose. The same easel is available under different names from other sources. Just look for an image that matches the design.
If you end up getting it I will be glad to show you some adjustments I made to make it more stable, easier to hold smaller panels, able to have the moving part several inches lower than the current design allows and a few other mods. I have used mine to hold 50x72 inch cradled birch panels successfully. I use it laying flat when doing watercolors, cutting mats and glass and for encaustic fusing. I am planning on getting another one for the studio I share with my wife.
