Okay, not really, but at 2:00am sharing many a scotch and a bottle or three of wine around a bonfire in the snowy forest leads to many an odd thought when one walks away for a pee and then notices the scene behind him. Lol!

This is oil on canvas board and done pretty much totally by pallet knife. I still have quite a bit of work to do of course, not least of which is adding the friends around the fire area and more. It is a very dark reference photo I am using for colour sorting but so far I kind of like the feel. Any thoughts would be appreciated as this is only my third painting attempt ever. Thick skin and a desire to improve means don’t hold back on the negatives as well as anything encouraging…
