The building and the colors you used for the shadows on it are really nice. I like the way you keep the various shapes more of a statement than the degree of detail. I think, though, that a *little* more detail (not too much) in the foreground would be helpful (to me at least). I don't really read the foreground as a vinyard. Granted, I haven't been around very many vineyards, so it may simply be that I don't know what I'm looking at.

I agree with Sue about the shadowed wall. That is gorgeous!

Good use of sparing brushstrokes to convey a sense of place and mood.

Thanks Sue - ya you probably could get in there and paint the rows of grapes but I tend to shy away from too much detail in my painting.

Thanks Carol.

Thanks Matthew, that's great feedback for me.

Thanks for the comment John.

I love the colours in this. Huge fan of vibrant greens, and the blues and whites compliment it perfectly.

I like your greens and brush strokes, I think the distant trees in the background need just a little variation in shape instead of a straight line.

Beautiful work - I love the palette and the lack of detail -

The painting is not about grapes - it is about mood and viewer participation.

Less is more!!! Great piece

I like the interplay of your light and shadow areas - it's working really well, and balances your picture nicely, giving it lots of interest.
