Herks o'er the Howe

This happened a few years ago, so I just had to paint it. I donated it to the local ATC Sqdn
Howe, Scots for Valley or fertile flat land
Acrylic on mount board about 30" X 12"

The Lomomd Hills, sometimes known as 'The Paps o' Fife'. The view point is from Cults Hill, and you are looking west towards the Ochil hills.
The a/c are on a low level route and are probably heading for St Abbs Head, NDB then down across the borders, and back south. Jim

Thanks Jim - thought (mistakenly) that they were the Eildon hills down Melrose way , another well used low level spot in days gone by according to a mate of mine who lives down there .

That's probably where they are heading. My Old Man used to fish the Whitadder and Blackadder. I have been with him and experienced Low Level Fright! .
We get quite a few from Leuchars comming up the valley and one of the G C A flight paths is just to the north of us.

Aye - I've been to Whitadder, aforementioned mate started off his low level photog interest at that location . Unfortunately the one time myself and wife stopped off for a picnic there all I saw was a Harrier pair dropping in North of us and heading West.
