Re: Scavenger Hunt #575: Feb 5 - 13

Joe: Thanks.... I pencil in first then watercolor.... I get very dizzy and confused with perspective so I need some pre-drawn lines and hope I dont end up erasing too often and ruin the paper.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #575: Feb 5 - 13

So, I'm doing fineliner again since I mistakingly kicked myself out of my comfort zone 2 weeks ago

I've had this idea for some time and I've been procrastinating for a while.

Interpreting 23#Trash as "mess". This is the content of my desk drawer.

Jo, well done on the digi hands, is it your birthday?
Paul, well done on the figures and beach finds, do I spy footprints in the sand? Lucky you having a balcony, nice work on the tree...
Joe, yay a manikin, I have one of those, good sib for the posable bones...
Jeroen, that is so good, at least your 'mess' looks useful

...okay, pen n watercolour in Kraft paper sketchy, about A5...
1 hand, finger lengths are all wrong but hey ho...
2 flower, silk daisy...
3 crystal, from an old chandelier...
4 dead bug, a fly
5 teeth, found a skeleton whilst clearing the garden, a cats I think...

6 historic figure, from one of my figurines, I saw a life size one at the Ufizzi museum when I was in Florence, boy with thorn, then found this one in a charity shop...

...heres a rather fuzzy photo of my figurine...

#2 Flower: It was raining, so I went for a small one that I could sacrifice and bring inside. I drew it round the edge of the page, so you get the cup again. This pencil business is difficult!

The cup was drawn with the first pencil that came to hand, which was HB. The flower was with a 4B, which gives nice dark marks, but is a bit too soft to manage any delicacy (in my hands).

Jerome, Your drawer may be messy but your drawing is so neat. Applause!

Scatty, it was our son's birthday. You have unique hands! I do like the way you sketched your hand and other items. Cool.

Indikon, oooh, a lovely mug for my collection. The added flower is elegant.

EP, lovely hands. Well done.

See ya later...

Thank you Indikon nice job on your animals.....

7) Mess.... at the beach, messy blanket -- pencil.... there must be some rule of order that precludes people from packing up and leaving when you start sketching them and their stuff... There was a lot more stuff on the couples blanket but they left
