I have been experimenting with different approaches to using media and the first is watercolor pencil and pen and ink for the sunflower 9×12 Strathmore vellum surface. The second is 9×12 also and watercolor and pen and ink for the lily. A more simple approach for me but a challenge just the same:) C&C appreciated and thanks for looking.

Hi, Suzanne. The one on the right has a lot more color/contrast, but that might be the photos, not the paintings. I really like the white space you have left around the flower on the right. Wonderful experimenting.

A different and interesting use of pen and ink to add details to the backgrounds, not just lines on the objects, Suzanne.

Nicely done on both, but agree with the ^^^ the right hand one appeals to me most.
