Plant Sketches

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Plant Sketches
Year Created:
Medium: Pen/Ink
Surface: Paper
Dimension: 9X12
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I am working through Peter Han's book, working on improving my sketching. I am primarily focused on improving form/proportion with this study, but I am also experimenting with texture. I haven't done much in ink/markers before, so I'm lea<br>ing the cross hatching techniques and still trying to find one I like.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
How are the simple shapes/proportions?

How is the line quality of the work?

Of course any other comments you have are appreciated. If you are familiar with Peter Han and his books/classes, I'd especially appreciate any comments you have.

Re: Plant Sketches

Wow! These are really good. I've only watched a couple of Peter Han's videos on youtube but that was a while ago. I remember basic shape exercises and such. It looks like you've captured a lot of relevant detail. Pen drawing and shading can be challenging and there are many styles. I think you're doing great.
