Hello to all you scrounging, sketching, snooping, skallywag Scavengers. Welcome to another hunt.
If you’ve done at least one Scavenger Hunt and have time to host one, we’d really appreciate it! You can sign up by posting your name and the current hosting list stickie on Artwork from Life forum: https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/show…6#post21360136
Rules for Hunting:
* All items on the list must be sketched from life–not imagination nor photo references
* Each object you draw can count for only one item on the list, no matter how many shapes/parts/colors that object contains. This was agreed to by unanimous vote among the participants
* You may place multiple objects together in a drawing or painting, and may count those objects as separate list items, but no single object can count for more than one list item.
* All items posted must be numbered. Count them as you go. The first item you sketch and post will be #1 regardless of its place on the list. Do them in whatever order you wish, but count them in the order in which you sketch them, from 1 to 26.Do as many or as few items as you like; you don’t have to finish the entire list to participate! You don’t have to comment on every post, but comment, if and when you can.
Scavenger Hunts last for 9 days, with the next hunt starting on the 9th day.
Please tell us your size, surface, medium, and the amount of time it took you to do each sketch. We love hearing about your subjects and setups. Photos of your subjects are also welcome!

August 22, 2018 at 9:26 am #678568I went to sketch at KhaoDin zoo today with a few friends… The zoo will be closing forever and moved out from Bangkok’s center to the ourskirt of Bangkok.
#1 Hard to see — far away white tiger
#2 Composed of three
#3 Moving fast — a special type of tropical monkey
#4 The number two
#5 Déjà vu — she is the queen of this zoo, people call her JasmineLady, I always visit her every time I visit this zoo. So I am glad I met her again today.
#6 A unique smell — a capybara … the biggest rat from central America

Tube of paint (something to do with art, or a unique smell, if you wish), mini bottle (seeing right through) and mini ocarina I got at a flea market some years ago (something to play):
Not that I can actually play the ocarina. It is so small it can be worn as pendant, but its sound so high and shrill and piercing that one can’t possibly play it without irritating not just ht neighbors, but the entire neighborhood.

http://brianvds.blogspot.co.za/August 26, 2018 at 9:56 am #678571#6 from the ground … My friends and I went out plein air sketching yesterday away from Bangkok, we visited a local artist there who tries to set up an artist village + co- art-working space… While we stopped at his studio, I love his fruit still-life set up so I excused myself from the group conversation and painted it there…done in direct watercolor.

Brian, the ocarina story made me smile. Thanks! Nice drawing.
I sketched in the big book while Gene is on a birthday walk. I used a Pilot fountain pen.
