If you’ve done at least one Scavenger Hunt and have time to host one, we’d really appreciate it! You can sign up by posting your name and the current hosting list stickie on Artwork from Life forum: https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/show…6#post21360136

    Rules for Hunting:
    * All items on the list must be sketched from life–not imagination nor photo references
    * Each object you draw can count for only one item on the list, no matter how many shapes/parts/colors that object contains. This was agreed to by unanimous vote among the participants
    * You may place multiple objects together in a drawing or painting, and may count those objects as separate list items, but no single object can count for more than one list item.
    * All items posted must be numbered. Count them as you go. The first item you sketch and post will be #1 regardless of its place on the list. Do them in whatever order you wish, but count them in the order in which you sketch them, from 1 to 26.

Do as many or as few items as you like; you don’t have to finish the entire list to participate! You don’t have to comment on every post, but comment, if and when you can.

Scavenger Hunts last for 9 days, with the next hunt starting on the 9th day.

Please tell us your size, surface, medium, and the amount of time it took you to do each sketch. We love hearing about your subjects and setups. Photos of your subjects are also welcome!

        Charming sketches so far. :-)

Do these count for ‘soft’? I declare that they do:

Robin, thanks for the list. I knew you were around. Robert always drew his cat, so guess that is why some items like “paw” are on the list. I like your flat mop. Cool sketches.

Brian, the bananas are soft, absolutely. Good job to make them a little ripe.

Hopefully I can sketch today. On the road the next couple of days.

You got in under the wire Robin  and win the first to post award!

Paw, tail, whiskers, claw….definitely a “cat” theme.

Hope to get a few done but focus is on course I am doing. Will at least stop in to admire and comment.

Brian – I would count them too. Nicely done.

            Keep sketching

Robin: Thanks for the list, and lovely red sketches’ The cat is a fav’.
Brian: Great banana sketching with nice shadows.

Paw, tail, whiskers, claw….definitely a “cat” theme.

Haha… Might be just me, but I see every single entry on this list can be done with the kitties in mind. :)

I hope this doesn’t count as cheating, but all the black was done today (GMT) on my way back from a meet up – without seeing the list. The orange bits were added once I got back home and saw the list. Scissors and glue are a great way to hide dodgy/lazy scribble work in sketchbooks, haha.

                    Claw/s – Crab Pincers
                    Loved – Welsh Landscape
                    Points – Charred Gorse Bush
                    Sharp – Rock Formation

Munin, super sketching. Your hatching is the cat’s meow. Your bush definitely has points. Clever items.

                    Hi Ai and Joe.

I sketched in the big book with a Prismacolor 01 and colored pencils. A stretch but I like this wooden box.

Number 1, point – the coyote’s nose is pointed at the moon for howling!

Traveling tomorrow, maybe run into a cat somewhere….

Brian – nice soft looking bananas…..nice subtle shading and form…..

Yes, Munin Raven – Robert, who composed the list really liked his cat a lot and purposely used that relationship to draw the list from. Your drawings are wonderful

Jo- cool idea for pointing……have safe travels….yeah, maybe you will see a cat ; >)

                    Ai – Hi

Robin – thanks for the new list. Love the sleeping kitty I can hear the soft sleep breathing from here

Brian – if those soft bananas are not eaten soon they could be peeled and used for banana bread/loaf :)

Munin – love the rocks and landscape in black. Fun inserts of orange bits

Jo – what a fun coyote … is this a jewellry box?
