Re: Watercolour paper poll

What is the difference between Fabriano Uno and Fabriano Artistico? I don't remember well which one I used years ago (going back to watercolors after a 5+ year hiatus). Is one student grade and the other one artist grade?

Re: Watercolour paper poll

I bought some 300lb Fabriano Artistico when it was on offer from Great Art earlier this year and I would say this is now my favourite paper. It is different from the 140lb to work with and is good for very wet work.

I have also tried Hahnemuhle but found it absorbed the paint too much for my liking. But again it depends so much on how people work.

They used to have two lines, Artistico and Uno. About 10 years ago, they consolidated everything under the name Artistico. Fabriano Uno became Fabriano Artistico Extra White.
