    Good morning all

    A chilly, sunny morning here.

A routine Monday taxi driving for me. I may go and retune a friend’s digital tv this morning.

Good evening Doug and all who follow.

Well we got the wisteria mess cleared up. All looks pristine. Sort of. Ready for reconstruction anyways.

Mower is going to hospital. Tried a carburettor cleaner and no luck. Will need it back soon though. The grass on the lower slopes is a foot tall. Cats dont like it because it rubs their tummies and gives them a fright. Keeps them close to home …

Bananas are staring at me balefully, needing finishing. Will try tomorrow.

                Evening all…

I planted a wisteria a year ago Annie, to cover a long back garden fence. We will be gone from here before it becomes a problem. :D
We had one at the farm that had a huge trunk. Was beautiful in flower..

10.6 km ride this afternoon in 35 minutes.
Gym in morning, coffee with gym buddies then if it’s not raining (as is forecast) will go out on the cycleways again.

Waiting to watch (Comm. Games) our male shot putter tonight. Hopefully gold for him. He’s so laid back about it all.
I suppose that’s because he is about 2 metres ahead of his competition! :crossfingers: that all goes well for him.

Have to say watching skeet shooting is worse than watching (house) paint dry….zzzzzzzzz

(((Darla))) hoping your results prove to be nothing.

Could have watched the quiet Scotsman who beat the chest beaters in the 100m swimming. Small byline so as not to upset the Oy Oy Oy calls.

                            Good day all,

28 F. That’s cold but things are looking up this week.

While cutting mats in the basement yesterday, Janet called me up to tell me a possum was trying to climb the table to get at Ms. Feral’s food. I did my best to chase it away, but it was stubborn. My attempts to keep it from crawling under the deck failed miserably, even grabbing it by the tail to send it into the woods could not discourage it. So there it stays until I leave and it recovers it’s nerve to go home, wherever that is. I do feel sorry for the little beast, but I will not feed them good cat food. It probably ate my failed muffins I gave to the birds.

I’m trying to make a quick business card to attach to my drawings for the show I’m entering. I have to turn everything in on Tuesday.

I have wisteria twenty-five years old that has never blossomed.

                            Later,

                                HELLO EVERYONE:wave:

Just caught up on yesterday’s posts.

It is 5:30 am & we had a little snow last night. Our temps are 31 degrees. They are calling for it to be 72 degrees on Friday. We may even get to mow the lawn this weekend. So far the temps have been too cold to have the garden center put any flowers out at all. My magnolia had a few blooms popping out but the cold got them.

Char ——Sounds like you got it all ready for the renovation.

Les —–I don’t know what meds you are taking but the Metformin comes in extended release which is so much easier on your stomach. Hope something gets figured out.

Ellen —Quite a job there. Can’t wait to see.

Darla ——Sounds like you had a great time but it also is nice to have a quiet home.

This morning I have to be at retina specialist for another round of shots at 8AM. I don’t think I’m getting them dilated so they won’t be messed up all day at least.

Well off to get some oatmeal so everyone have a nice day.

                                Take care

I had a lovely but long day.. My bike is at the bike shop getting a service and new tires, and I can pick it up after sketching tomorrow..

Uschi, I have had my bike for 4 years now. Last year when I got so sick, I couldn’t ride it and it collected dust  Now I am going to get back on it, find a good cycling club and have some fun. Life is too short eh..

Loving your pond, and turtle Linda.

Char, I am excited to see your Kitchen Reno Thread. I remember all too well what your kitchen looked like. I am so excited for you

                                    Good luck Anita.

                                    Well done Lulu

                                    Have a fabulous day everyone

                                    Good Morning all,
It is a little before 6:30 a.m. here in dark and sleepy Oakwood. Oh, and there is a light coat of white stuff on the ground again.

I’m off to painting class this afternoon. Still not happy about the background on my flower painting. Don’t think I’ll go dark, but need a color in the background to unify everything.

Bill, I hope you can get rid of the possum. You definitely don’t want it to feel comfortable around your house. When we lived in Illinois, our neighbor had a possum family that dug their home under his deck against the house foundation. He had to call a pro to get them all out and take them somewhere far, far away.

 to all who were here before me and to those still on their way.

                                    everyone,
Another grey, cold and probably snowy day. Temps are averaging 10 degrees lower than seasonal for weeks now. The never ending winter.

I’m just getting ready to leave for the gym. After that it will be a shower, run for another can of paint uptown, then out to the mural project again for another half day’s work. I have to leave the cottage by 2:00 to be back for Max’s bus by 3:00. This will be the last day I’ll be working on it this week. This evening I’ll probably start on our taxes. This is the latest I’ve ever left them but I have until the end of the month.

My stomach is feeling almost completely normal again. I don’t know what it was but it’s going. If it comes back I’ll see the doctor.

I have to run so I’ll wish you a great start to your week.

                                        Good Morning!!

Sunshine and a high of 3C. Following today we’ll have a whole week of “mixed”precipitation = snow and rain:rolleyes:

Yesterday I only got half the laundry done because my old friend who moved to the West Coast last year is desperately wanting to move back and we had a 2 1/2 hour phone call about it and other things.

Then my art neighbour dropped in for coffee and then a call from DIL to come for dinner, we had a lengthy and chatty fondue. Ethan made Naan bread with garlic which was delicious but did not sit well with my stomach, bloating and trapped gas for the rest of the evening.

I watched “60 Minutes” on TV about how the Russian Hackers targeted every one of the States to influence the election. Where will all of this hacking go or end, I am not even talking about election but that nothing is safe.

I also still have to do my taxes, also have never left it that late.

 to ALL here and all yet to come and wish you a good day!!

A good Monday morning to all…..chilly here again this morning, with broken clouds, but the sun is coming up and it should warm up nicely to upper 60’s.

No written in concrete plans for today…nothing pressing, so “my” plan is sitting at my work table in the studio trying to finish up the bananas….tried yesterday, but my brush hand wasn’t cooperating…..shaking to much.

Watched the final round of the Master’s ….thought Fowler was going to catch Reed if he faltered, but he didn’t. It’s a whole new group of players…the “young guns”. Woods, Mickelson, Couples, Singh, Langer …didn’t even break even for the 4 days…..the “old guard” is dead, long live the “young guns”. That’s one thing about Augusta, you have to be able to drive and drive it long and controlled and when you’re hitting your late 40’s in pro golf, those young ones will have the advantage. I seriously doubt we’ll see Woods or Mickelson on the leader board at the Master ever again on the weekend.

Lisa’s getting ready for work, cats are bugging me for food, dogs are hopeful….I need to eat…..notice the order of priority, the cats just let us live here.

Be good, do good…..don’t let the little things get you undone….and anything that doesn’t put 6′ underground……….it’s a little thing. As my grandfather used to say, “don’t let the calf lead ya, you steer the calf where you want it go….”. BBL

                                        Steve

Pain and heartaches aren't options in life........misery is a choice.

A friend keeps asking if she can come help weed the veggie garden. She says it is therapeutic for her and boy do I have enough weeds to make up for 20 years of therapy, so that is on this mornings agenda. Dogs, cats, and birds fed.
