A long time...

...since my last post.

Hi Folks,

Shoulder surgery set me back for a while. It is much better now.

Here are some plein air paintings I've done in the last few weeks.
It felt great to be outside again.

9x12 oil on canvas panel "Spring Pond"

9x12 oil on canvas panel "Fence Row"

9x12 oil on canvas panel "Spring Birch"

9x12 oil on canvas panel "Spring Greens"

Hi Dan,

Thanks. The first couple of weeks after surgery were tough (back in December). I went to my last physical therapy last Wednesday. It will take a full year to get back to normal, but I can do most things now.

Take care.

Really nice, Wyn! I like your use of texture, and great colour and composition.

Hi Wyn,
Glad you are back in action. I also have shoulder problems (and knees and ankles).
I think you did a nice job capturing the spring colors. Birches look great this time of year, don't they?

It's good to see your work here again, Wyn. I really like the first one but they are all very nice! Best of luck with your recovery. I still do PT for my knees at home. It helps (and reminds me that I'm not 20 any more!)

Thanks Kyle. I might have pushed the reds on those birches a bit too far, but it was neat to see all that red.

Thanks Donna. I'll be doing PT for, what feels like, ever. At least the throbbing pain in my shoulder is gone. Now, back to painting!

Thanks Greg. You don't appreciate being able to put on your own socks, until you can't do it.

Take care.
