I'M NOT AS THINK AS YOU DRUNK I AMMarch 23, 2019 at 9:13 am #803022It is indeed an archetypal, bucolic scene, but it is rendered in your wonderful, unmistakable style. On this large screen I can see the beautiful textures in the trees and sky, which add to a sense of movement in the latter. The buildings are excellently painted and I especially like the wheat(?)which has a great feeling of movement.

March 23, 2019 at 9:15 pm #803001Thanks Michael. Sunshine always makes it easier.
Thanks Bizzibee. I appreciate your kind remarks. It is fun to be back painting in oils with fuller brush strokes.
Thanks Wes. I like old barns. Reminds of drives out into the country as a kid.
Thanks Heather. Glad that you liked it.
Thanks Humberger. I only noticed at the end that it was a “cliché” and then I laughed at myself.
Thanks Ann. I was pleased with how the painting developed.
Thank again to everyone. Gary

March 24, 2019 at 11:41 am #803002Thanks Everyone. I was afraid this was going to be a bit too corny. (It is a corn field.)
Thanks Dorrart. I added the two trees after the initial block-in. I was afraid they might look pasted-on.
Thanks John. I do appreciate chroma.
Thanks Laura. I went to your website. Very nice work. I hope to get out and do more plein air this year myself.
Thanks Donna. It was an honest effort.
Thanks NTL. That comes with getting older? Not.
Thanks again, Gary
