This Karen Appleton inspired piece was painted for the sake of a video I was making. After completing it, my 2 year old picked up a paint brush and started marking on it. What do you think of this piece now? is it Ruined?

Another vote for saving it as is for some good memories later. I liked the idea of giving to them as a wedding gift!

An oil painting is almost never ruined by applying oil paint to it. Just allow it to thoroughly dry, and paint over it, with the original colors.:) Or….do as nearly everyone else suggests: save it as is.:lol:

you guys are awesome! I love the wedding gift idea!
What I like about it is that it has more story behind it now it has been worked on by a 2 year old!
My 6 year old did the same thing when she was 3. except it was blue crayon across the painting!

😂 Did the blue crayon fit the color scheme? Your 2yo was kind enough to use the correct paints at hand!
