Thank you for your kind comment! I think I will try another one getting the feel of the flow so I won't over do it.

Re: Ink, liquid watercolor.......

love the colors! I just tried that leaf in the sun thing myself, but got no effect at all. And the sun was blasting on it for quite a while, I'll have to read it again and try maybe with different paints. I had used some El Cheapo China made ones that came with an easle, figured for experimenting they'll be good enough - they're pretty bad though, as expected.

Anybody here get the leaf thing to work?

Re: Ink, liquid watercolor.......

I don't know if this thread is still active or not. I have done some things by putting semi-thick watercolor paint on the back of real leaves, pressing them down with my fingers on wet watercolor paper, sometimes toned first, sometimes not, and leaving them until they are somewhat dry, then peeling them off. Some leaves I paint around like a stencil. Then I continue to add to the painting with other paint or ink as you did until I like the composition.

Phantelope, thank you! I also used cheap china ink but I think it really needs those big heavy leaves but I am stubborn and will try again.

Akartisan, thank you for your comment. I love your suggestion and find it much easier. I will have to try that one too.
