This is beautiful. It really gives the sense of a dreamy sunset. Great job for your first acrylic. Can't wait to see your second!

Hi there Zee, Very nice atmosphere. In the top left, the horizontal line. What is it and it's unfortunate to be at the same height and parallel to the mesa top. Also, is this one continuous mesa or one in front of others? The upper highlighted part seems to confuse that issue. The foreground top is also at the same height as the subject, I guess I would lower it's top giving more prominence to the subject. Sometimes mother nature isn't perfect. Smile. Good luck.

One mesa in front of others the left horizontal line is the south rim many miles away I learned alot about washes. The partial line on the top left is the south rim also and it does dissapear with the sun brightness. Thanks for your help on theis

Very impressive for a first acrylic. I could feel the immensity of the canyon, you did a great job capturing the colors as well.

Hallo Zee,
Impessive first acrylic, how did you find it?
composition and colors work beautifull
I also like the rendering in the foreground
melting into a fine haze in the distance
I take it you painted this from a photo?
it feels very plein air..........
love it!!!!

Thank you for all your comments. Yes this was from a photo, not many people visit the North Rim of the canyon I think it has more fantastic views.

Beautiful, I personally would have thought you have been using Acrylics for years if you hadn't said the oppposite. I really like how you made the light reflecting off the rocks so bright.
