"Paint impression." Oil-acrylic on canvas.

"Paint impression." On canvas, 60 cm x 50 cm.

Done with acrylic on top of oil, oil on top of acrylic, acrylic-oil mixture and oil-acrylic mixture. I alla-prima, wet acrylic can mix with wet oils most easily. Oil-acrylic paint mixture is OK with 80% oil + 20% acrylic. The same for acrylic-oil, 80% acrylic+20% oil

On dried oil paint, acrylic adhered well. On wet oil paint it mixes perfectly. On touch dried oil paint acrylic can bead. To prevent beading I decided to wipe surface with alcohol solution. That prevents beading.
Hope you enjoy!

I like it. Repeating shapes are so pleasing. Fun colours and brushwork, too. Nice and lively.

I can feel the spaces between the containers, the wetness of the paint inside, the floor surface! VERY strong, so convincing that you have created the atmosphere in the painting with color relationship, not just drawing. Im inspired. Thank you. Cannot comment on your use of medium, dont have the experience with those methods. Going by your other posts, I assume you know what youre doing.

Alex, your painting is really nice.
I also can't comment on mixing acrylics and oils, you might be the only person who like to do this.... but it is still very good work. Your colors are lovely.

Thank you, guys! It was very fun to try a new method of painting. Nobody have experience to do that. I just carefully mixed my oil paint with acrylic and tried to prevent beading as possible. I think, I will try to paint some peaceful symbols, "pax", "pace" , sth

Thank you! Oil and Acrylic surprisingly mixed all together in "wet-in-wet"!

The colors are cheerful. I assume the rest of your post is your sarcasm shinning through.

I put my brushes into glass of water to prevent drying. Acrylic dissolves, but oil residue accumulates into brush hair. Very difficult to clean. I can understand, why artists do not recommend to use the same brushes for acrylic and for oil.
