Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Deep Dive XP from Drawing

The drawing went through an extended process that might not have the flow and movement I wanted. I'm sure I need a break from sitting in front of it. That said, I thing I learned a few things.
Iphone pics for now, and detail images for those who like them.

Edited to add - 23" x 17" pencils & graphite powder

Thanks Attalus

Hey Rob - thanks for taking a look.

I'm adding better quality images - was able to fix it and photo it outdoors with my camera.

I keep looking at the textures in the water. Incredible fine details.
The birds are great too.

What I really like is how you've made the mermaids body flow so beautifully, the fin/legs seem perfectly natural.

Wow brilliant and there is detail within detail, so the layering is fabulous my friend...I love your style, textures and compositions. The subject is a constant yet you find ever changing ways to display them making each one unique.

Re: Deep Dive XP from Drawing

Thanks Virginia It was interesting - I spent enough time on the mermaid to have a whole natural history along with physical characteristics and behaviours outline themselves to me. It's interesting, that sort of thing - spend long enough on a piece and a whole world can unfold in your minds eye

Very kinds words Anthony! I have a couple more whale drawings that might be worth excavating from the back of the mind, so we'll see if I can continue the individualistic look of the different works.
