Cassandra The Dark Angel

Just finished this today....turning an attractive young lady into rather erotic demon is business as usual for me, and besides, it was kind of her idea...sorta....(That's my defense, You Honor.)

Charcoal pencils on thick sketch paper. 18 x 24.

Good work. Is that all drawn?

Thumbs up Re: Cassandra The Dark Angel

Very nice. Erotic enough even without the wings

YEP! I smoothed out the charcoal with a smudge stick because the art was too small to use my fingertips. I adapted some dragon wings that I had in a folder for a good while....everything comes in handy sooner or later.

I did a bit of digital clean up when I uploaded it to get rid of the smudges and stuff outside the figure.

Thanks I have folders for just about everything and one of them contains tons of wings that I have uploaded to use as reference....I found a pair of batwings and did a little re-imagining on them with prominent veins and all and used a slightly damp sponge (not wet) to make a new pattern on the flesh.

My main goal was to create a differentiation between the darker wings and the very light image of the body.

I spent more time on the face and hair to make it look as close to the photo as possible than I did on the rest of it.

I was going to put horns on her but I decided at the last minute not to.....I thought it would've been just a little too much. Without the wings it would just be her sitting there and that's no fun, so .....

One of these days, I am going to do Fall-from-Grace, the virginal succubus from Planescape: Torment. Not yet, though

Re: Cassandra The Dark Angel

Blown away here by the texture of the wings (talk about hyperrealism!) but like that the focus of this portrait is Cassandra's eyes. Great work!

Me, too. But I am not sure in my own mind exactly how to portray her. She should be sad and lovely, I think

It will eventually hit you....meantime go onto other things and when the inspiration strikes, you go for it.
