Today's go at one of the WDE images:

Blue Heron Wading
9" x 7"
Sakura Pigma Micron color pens and watercolor wash
90lb cold press watercolor paper.

I'll finish the page later, today is not a good back day.

Great work on the heron. Looking at the bg, what a neat way to do the leaves. Love the shading on the bird and water.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thank you! I was experimenting with that background, so glad y'all like it. There are several different ways I could handle a wall of leaves, that's just one, but I'm glad it worked.

Robert - I saw this in the Watermedia Forum and commented on it there. It's terrific and I think you should frame this one.

Re: All-Media Book started 2006...

Thank you! I think of this book as a place where all the good paintings and drawings I keep in it are safe. They won't get lost in a move, I've been able to hang onto full sketchbooks a lot easier than framed artwork or loose matted art. Some of my favorites are in this volume - the cougar I did a while back too.

Someday I might unbind it and mount and frame some of the good ones. But till then, they're all safer right where they are. Of course I could always scale it up and redo it larger as a framed painting. That's the cool thing about this book -- most of what's in here, even if it's polished, I could elaborate on it in a larger size on good 100% rag paper.
