Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs

David - Welcome to the classroom .
I'm not sure what you expect from these classes. You're from the US, so you know the "101" jargon term, unlike the rest of the world.
Anyway, you may jump to any class of your liking .

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs

Hey, I'm Keladry. So often I go too fast with my work, I need a chance to slow down and remember the basics. The thing I've been struggling with most recently is drawing ears and hair. This is done with a charcoal pencil, in my sketchbook.

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs

Thank you Arnoud. Since retiring, besides increasing my grandmotherly activities, I've taken up watercolor and have limped along by making grid drawings (with a lot of squares per page) and doing a lot of trial and error (mostly error) until a drawing looks "somewhat" right. I'd like to be able to draw well. I struggle with angles, proportion, scale and how parts relate to each other and to the whole -- so I chose this as my something-that-intimidates-me pre-drawing from a photo in the RIL posted by "lisilk". http://www.wetcanvas.com/RefLib/show...p?photo=174785.

Drawn on 11x14" sketch pad from 6-1/4x4" print of photo.
