Re: Scavenger Hunt #549: July 12-20

Ai - thank you. Ah what a great idea to sketch the salon people. They are in one place, relatively, though the stylist's arms will always be moving Love how the waterway disappears after the railing in your painting. Do you get mosquitos when you sip a beverage along the canals?

Jo - thank you

EP: Thanks... Here we have herbal mosquitos repellent ... we apply it on our arms and legs before hanging out there... but I don't feel them much anyway...

EP - Nice sketches. Cool job on the challenge converting to an abstract. Only secondary sounds like a neat idea for a future challenge.

Ai - You and Joan seem to have the touch for capturing moments and places. Yours are always special when they involve the girls. The canal café is cool. I am with EP I love how the softness past the rail draws you in giving a feeling of depth to the painting.
🎉🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY IRIS🎉🎉

Thanks to all for the encouraging words.

Keep sketching
Joe

Ai - I am such a mosquito magnet. I think they get notified on twitter that I am visiting and they starve themselves until I arrive. I am the citronella candle for everybody else.

Joe - thank you. Good metal.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #549: July 12-20

Jo: Nice subject choice for three sided. I like your handling of the steam holes and metal sheen.
Jeroen: Lovely picturesque screen with fantastic greens and great composition.
Joe: Nice to see some classic forms and shapes so well rendered. The water bottle is also very nicely handled.
Eyepaint: Nice clutter of items and lovely loose line work.
Eye: Nice scene and rather elaborate looking hair style. The handling of the wc tree is super fine.
Brianvds: Great work on the folds. Nice mid-ranges.

1. Push - Button
2. Animal - Wasp (found dead on the window sill, poor chap)
3. Metal - Clip
4. Noisy - Auxiliary jack
5. Pull - Latch
6. Roll - Dice

Munin Raven: Nice sketches. What medium do you use? I like the rich colors. And are those paintings on your blog digital?
