Visual Serendipity.

For 2012, we have started a weekly series on our blog called Visual Serendipity. The idea is that it has to be narrowed down to one per week, and the image has to be taken on an Android Smartphone.

Serendipity: noun; the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.







Any feedback and critiques would be very much appreciated.

these are great images...

but

on WC we generally try to be inclusive, limiting the images to one product seems counterproductive and excludes many WC members from participating.

we already have daily posts (Shutterbug Daily) and weekly stuff as well as other ongoing threads that allow everyone to participate.

I'll bet ya-all would enjoy these, too. Great fun, friendly. and they let me use my 10 yo P&S Kodak Advantix...

Great images all of them.
It seems that these images depict lines and curves creating artistic designs. They are pleasing to look at and study.

I like the concept, visual serendipity, but unfortunately my phone doesn't take pictures.

Why is it important that the image be taken with a smartphone? I just bought a camera small enough so that I could carry in my purse and have it on me at all times. So, when I happen to accidentally come upon a pleasant visual surprise, I pull out my camera from my purse and SNAP away.

However, this is your thread and I won't post anything that may not follow your guidelines.

It's amazing the photos that phones can take now. I don't have a cell (hearing issues) but I think my kid has that one.

birdhs, those are the rules for my blog postings, not this thread. I would not mind anyone sharing pictures from any device on this thread, but for my blog, that is the rule for the Visual Serendipity Series. Sorry if I confused anyone.
