Re: Fantasy Mural

Danielle, Arlene, Romi, Violet, Lucie, Loobyteacher, Lulu, Trafford... thank you all for your nice comments. I'm glad it is making the positive impression I was going for.

Yes Ozone, that is hair on the tail.

Thanks EP, lol. I had to get her out of the way for the final photo.

Dreamz, thank you. Yes, it's a time consuming process using small round brushes and lots of dabs and layers. Most of the bushes took 4 or 5 shades.

Linda, thanks. I did a lot of searching and ended up finding my reference on the last page of the lakes and ponds, etc section. The rocks right away made me think of a castle and it was pretty easy to follow the natural formation to create the towers.

Angela... LavenderSprout, that's really cute!

Michelle, thank you. Children's books have crossed my mind, but I would have to learn to paint faster.

Re: Fantasy Mural

WOW!!..Michelle that is absolutely marvelous. My daughter absolutely loves doing murals....I am not sure I could ever paint that big. I did one that was 2'x3' and it took forever! (and used alot of paint...lol). You did so great!

Re: Fantasy Mural

I love your treatment of the trees - they are almost like punchneedle rug work
The colors are great, too. I like your dragon and cat - I can see them starring in some children's books.

Re: Fantasy Mural

Michelle, this is wonderful and will be delightful in the baby's room and for many years to follow. I have often thought about putting murals on boards especially for renters. Well done.

Re: Fantasy Mural

Thank you Susan, Lynda, Sue, Tony, and Carol for your comments. You know what's funny is that I've been working on this huge thing and on trading cards. Talk about extremes.
