Actually a two hour study in conté pencils on a dark Ingres paper. First time back at Stamford this year. I really had a lot of fun with this one. I found myself standing back from the easel and using the pencils like paintbrushes.

            I love it.

What size is the actual picture?

I love that style of yours Harry, and what incredibly lush nipples! My only criticism is the colour of the lower limbs. It’s a very confident, almost provocative pose by the model which you’ve captured to perfection :)

Magnuscanis thanks for your comment. the sheer os 14 x 21 inches. I should put sizes on these posts.
David thanks for your comment. The colour of the lower legs is quite intense but there was a strong backlight from the floor.

                C&C always welcome.

                    Wonderful sense of light, Harry!
This is such a tricky pose- I struggle with the front-on foreshortening- but you have handled it expertly!

Nice work Harry, I like your method of wielding pastels… reminds me a little of some Degas ones.

Very cool hatching. It also reminds me of late Degas.
