Here are some fall landscapes that I’ve painted in the past few weeks. All are oils painted from photos that I took in the wilds of North Carolina.

Love the perspective in the sky in the second and your trees and leaves are great as always. My favorite is how you paint bark in close proximity. Well done!

C & C WelcomeDecember 18, 2019 at 12:57 am #920222You do an excellent job with painting photo realism while using simple brushstrokes; it’s an elegant way of painting and they look great. My favorite one is the third one from the top, with the white tree bark with some autumn leaves scattered here and there. I like that scene, and its close up depiction of nature along with the spider web. Thanks for sharing!

I haven’t been able to post on Wet Canvas from my iPad because it keeps logging me out, but it works on my phone for some reason. I can’t even request help on the technical support forum.

December 22, 2019 at 10:02 am #920218Wonderful, vibrant colors, and I like how these all take a detailed look at the leaves, trees, and rocks – a sort of “zoomed in” perspective on what fall really is. Nicely done!

Still much to paint and much to learn!
