The heron is well painted too, but you might consider a slight value change on the left wing where it is dipping down. It may be the monitor on my laptop, but it seems to disappear into the background when it should be more obvious since it is in the foreground. If you have a cellphone, you can take a picture of it and then change the color to the monochromatic setting to see how well the, values are working. I suspect the rest of the painting will show a very nice balance of values.
