Re: Weekly paintings Southwest & Florida

Summer into Autumn is so rich in those deep, earthy shades of that season. As for your ground clutter brush - I think you ought to patent that and sell them! Seems very effective!

I love the mood of Fog Bank Rolling In. It captures that gloomy mist so well. Excellent work!

These two are my current favorites! Have to say current as I always like the SW scenes and New Mexico. Beautiful color and distance.

Sunset Reflections

Repurposed 18x24 on 245lb linen paper with palette knife and lots of paint - alla prima My objective was color and texture applied in a loose impressionistic style with semi abstract passages.

This was done quickly and where the paint landed is where it stayed!!!

Well, it looks like all the paint landed precisely where it was meant to. Outstanding work, Richard! Those colors are fantastic and a joy to see all intermixed.

A String of Mesas portrays the great distance so well, that sky works really well too with the landscape.
High Country Shadows has a feel of an autumn afternoon with a possible storm traveling across the land.
Sunset Reflections, the texture on the palm trees is excellent and this is my favourite painting of all of the palm tree ones that you have done. Great work!
