Cherry trees, can you believe it?

I had noticed these trees last year in front of a local restaurant, and finally got permission to go there and paint. He informed me they were cherry trees of some type that blooms very early. I didn't even notice the giant backwards "N" in the background till I photo'd it. Time to call the tree surgeon. 12 x 16, 3 hours??
The other one is the same afternoon, at a local boat landing. I'm liking it better than the first one, I think. It's an 8 x 10, about an hour or so...
I got to breathe lots of lovely gas fumes as people started up their boats to go out...(how can anybody afford to run a boat with these gas prices???!).

...These are beauties, Annabella. Love the blossoms in the first piece and the crispness of the second. Great trees in the middleground. Love the edges at their crowns.

Take care.

Annabella,

Your flowering trees are gorgeous, and they look right. Sometimes the flowering trees look like they don't fit, but these do.

I love your composition on the second. My favorite part is the distant trees and you great work on the sky holes. Good work.

These are both really nice. I love those flowering trees and the clear colors in the second one.

Re: Cherry trees, can you believe it?

Wow, cherries already? We're only into the plum blossoms, cherries are still another 3-4 weeks away.

Nice work.
