These pops up in my mind. Simple ideas which I hope will grow

To kick off, I am looking for gnomes~ The below has some of the elements but pretty much unfinished. Will be taking my time to explore and experiment~

:) Thanks. Trying to get things out in the open to create more raw materials to synthesis

For this one, I try adding in a flower and some swirls. It is pretty much unfinished at the moment. I like the layout, but the different elements did not gel well. The eyes are quite primitive, will need to do some study on that some point in time.

Medusa eyes look sad, which I guess they would be if you go by the original story.
That little drawing at the bottom is neat.

Hi Virginia! :) thanks. I did some light reading on greek mythology few years ago. Some of it can be pretty dark stuff. One of them would be Medusa. Same goes for Prometheus and Cassandra.

These are cute, and so original! Who would’a thought that Medusa could look like a cutie pie! What a totally fertile imagination you have!

Thanks Margaret! Ideas still buzzing around. Hope they evolve soon. This is a sketch of a fish that I think might fit in fantasy section. Needs to be build up further though.

Interesting drawing style. I’d be curious to see how your art may evolve.

I love your style. reminds me of woodcuts or etchings.

Thanks miahawk! I am intrigued by woodwork and etchings and wish to incoporate some of that effect.

Just to share, the etching and woodworks of Gustave Dore is amazingly stunning. He is one of my favourite ancient masters and the only one for etching.

With more practise, hope that my work will become better and grow. :)

Something I just did which I think is suitable for this forum. An idea for now using plant elements surrounding a bird.
