Shi-tzu in Arylics

Hi everyone,

I have never posted on this forum before as I mainly do colored pencils.
However I had alot of canvass and openback frames and I need to fill them, so I bought some acrylics, (not the best) just to see how they would work for me. I have done water soluable oils before which are ok, but take too long to dry. So here is my first acrylic try. Just had to do this little guy. Let me know if I should continue or give it up before I go buy some expensive paints.

Keep going - you are off to a good start . As you go on you will realise just how easy and forgiving Acrylics are to work with.
They can also be frustrating and downright uncooperative but you quickly learn to get around those characteristics and use their peculiarities to your advantage.

Definitely keep going!

We'd also like to see a larger image

When you post, please mention the size as well as the support (in this case canvas you said?)

Thank you everyone, I will use my cheaper paint while I get more familiar with it and then I will decide to go for the goldens. Hope to post more on this site.
