Re: What are you Working on Today?

I'm just starting a new painting. I haven't done one in several years.
I'm trying to decide whether to use oil or acrylic. But there will be 2 of these... one, I will do in colored pencil for someone special. You might have to click on the picture to see it... or risk straining your eyes. :/ I sketched it lightly onto the canvas.

Re: What are you Working on Today?

Welcome Stiz! That's a great sketch to begin with for sure I'll wait for you to paint it.

Here is one done yesterday 5x7 watercolor for the Weekend Drawing Event in the AMAE forum. Currently all day today I worked on a commission that's a birthday gift and had to incorporate the person's favorite dance hall, their birth year, and a famous Cherokee landmark mountain south of town. So I used a 1950 Chevy truck and parked it in front of said dance hall with mountain in far background. Front of dance hall has numerous lettering on it, whew! So tired now.

Here is the birdhouses one from other forum:

Re: What are you Working on Today?

Thank you for the welcome! That sound awesome! I hope you'll post it! here is my WIP: I am doing this one in colored pencil... from a variety of sets that I have. I'm also going to do it in oil paints on canvas. but wanted to try this.
.
I haven't done people in at least a decade lol. This is from my mind, no photo or copying from anywhere or thing. I still have a lot of work to do on it yet.

Thanks for lookin'!

Re: What are you Working on Today?

It's time I started posting in this thread, I've been enjoying it for a while and I think if I join in it might encourage me to do more

I'm working on a landscape at the moment. It will be in ink and watercolour - I'm drawing out all the details first then I'll add the colour. It's a bit of an experiment (I don't normally do landscapes).

This is after an hour:

Then I started adding the foreground:

Comments welcome
