A Sign of Summer
For me poppies say everything there is to say about summer - the lovely bright red flower and delicate petals blowing in the breeze. It's just a pity they won't last as a cut flower to bring indoors.

Poppies are one of my faves too!! I read somewhere that if you cut them and then burn the end with a match you can sucessfully keep them indoors for a few days.....I don't know if it works but would be happy to know if you tried it

The poppies are just fine in the wild. The reds look a little blown out a bit over exposed perhaps.
