framed
Not too easy to get a good photo of the frame! the oil painting is small just 12 x 12 inches and is titled 'From a calm shore'. Thank you for commenting. Caroline

Really lovely painting and the frame works well. Your work has a poetic aspect.

Re: framed
I really like the picture, and the frame suits it. For me, simple frames are best.
Every time I watch an episode of "The Crown," I can't help noticing that the Queen's paintings are completely overpowered by elaborate gilt frames. Do people really like that?

Re: framed
I really like the painting, simple and bright, with excellent brush handling and marks. The frame is very nice for a more modern house, and I am sure works with most houses, I think I might have gone for a lighter blonde wood color if it were to hang in my house. Wonderful work as always!

Re: framed
Thank you so much AnnieA!
Hi Joseph, I think the old frames went with the furniture they had in those days, it seems to be quite traditional to frame them that way. I agree simple frames let you focus on the subject matter and not the frame! Thank you for your comment.
Hi Delo frames are important and yes they need to go with the home decor. Thank you for your comment.

Re: framed
That plain white frame is perfect for this painting. BTW, the brush strokes on the land and the texture in the sky are really nicely done.
