Re: Scavenger Hunt #590 - June 5 - June 13

Joan - lovely foliage in your landscape and in the rocks/water sketch. My uncle had a tractor like that. Ooooh an airstream food truck. Is that a self portrait of the woman in blue sketching? Lovely job on the lamppost giving scale to the figures and umbrellas

Jo - the bark is amazing. The leaves look like collage pieces. So many grapes! How did you not get lost? Your comment "pretend the shirt is for an infant" made me chuckle

PC - I learn so much from you ... cool Andromeda

Ai - How could you sketch while getting a massage? I'd be a limp noodle. Imagine the planning for constructing that stone wall. Good idea for those ladies to wear sun shade/hats while in the water. Cool lamp! Again, how do you sketch while getting a massage?

Joan, yummy watermelon. Perfect for this time of year. Love it! (Both the painting and watermelon.)

EP, thanks. Your blue sketches are great. I absolutely love the apple.

I'm working on the Southwest Monthly challenge today, may get a sketch later. Ciao....

Re: Scavenger Hunt #590 - June 5 - June 13

EP - Thanks. The woman in blue sketching was a visiting sketcher from Australia who has been here for a few weeks. Nice sketches in the blue tones!!

Jo - Thank you. I like sketching watermelons but usually cut them up too quickly into smaller pieces and then wish I had waited a bit so I could sketch them. lol I was a little more patient this time.

10 - related to travel (road and train trestle) - direct watercolor
11 - tree bark

EP: Thanks ... It was easy as in Thailand, they put you in a very nice LazyBoy type recliner, when you are doing just a foot massage. So I am sitting up relaxing with my small sketchbook and a pencil in my hand...That's all. I probably cannot sketch anything if I was having a full body massage.

Joan: Lovely watermelon and road+overpass bridge scene. How did you save white (on some tiny white spots) on the red flesh of watermelon? The painting comes out super juicy...love it.

...great list Joan, wish I could've done more...bute landscapes all, and sweet red tractor. Lovely lamp post, and what super yellow sunshades.
Jo, lovely tree bark, and grapes that I take it were not so lovely nice shirt n glasses. Good job on the glass and metal objects. Always love your porch views.
PC, always find your astronomical studies cool,
Ai, neat rocks, and aren't you meant to relax when you have your feet massaged? lovely lampshade, and cool bobbing ladies.
'J', what a fab multi sketch, super job...
EP, lovely collection of colourful sketches, especially that apple and smiling phone...

Jo — You and Gene are so brave. I looked up the movie you mentioned. It sounds like a fun one with a great cast. I wonder if its still available at the library. Lovely spring view from your porch! And a Mason jar wine glass? Who knew! You keep introducing me to things I've never seen before or even heard of! Fun sketches all 😀

Jeanne — Welcome home! Your happy scene made me smile 😊 Beautifully drawn and shaded group - your colors are always so full and warm. I love that cool car... I love everything!

Joan — Gorgeous juicy melons, and lovely scenic drive 🎨

EP — Thanks much! Superb group of sketches - I love the melty colors and simplicity of the lines. Restful and appealing. Wonderful work! ☀️

Scatty — Fun page of sketches... Look at that intense, determined gaze 😍 Cool rock too and nice sheen on the palette knife!

Ai - Thanks. I just painted around a few white spots on the watermelon...not too intentional.

Kat - Thank you. Love the cute rattling owl gourd. Your rock is so textural!

Pine Cone - Thanks.

Thanks to all for taking part in the hunt!!!

Joan, the travel sketch is super. Flags, yay!

Ai, I don't like massages in general, but might consider if I could sketch!

Scatty, I like your sketches and the gourd .... and that you showed the items. The gourds like that were so popular in Peru.

Pine Cone, thanks. We have and had so much junk. We have filled the house since 2011 after vowing "no collecting!" Sigh... lol

Thanks all, see you on the next Hunt. Thanks for this Hunt, Joan!
