Re: Scavenger Hunt #277 Jul 24 - Aug 1

Ai - nicely done with those markers. I'm hungry. What's for supper in Ai's kitchen? That must have been hard to sketch with Tone munching beside you

Jeanne - good to see you. Fun blue tote bag and winking owl. Fingers crossed you can sketch with us soon?

Paul - thank you. Great job on the archer statude

Hanneke - great rug. Your storyteller must have quite the story to be upside down! Great snoozing dog head. Funny story and sketch of the daughter with the electronic device

Joan - fun library shelves and spiral (or just curved?) staircase. Your left-handed fridge drawing is well done. That's me with too much coffee

Jo - great job on that hexagonal table. Cute furry critters. Jean purse - I keep meaning to make one.

EP, wow! Make your own purse. I do Walmart. Ha.

Ai, yes the soup looks great. Do you make it spicy? We love that.

Paul, thanks.

We have a sort of exhibit tonight. Hyatt has a resort near here and they are bringing about 300 people to Bastrop tonight for dinner so the gallery will be open and we will have some tables up by another private gallery. I will put up a table an visit with the crowd a bit. They will mostly be eating out of our reach, but will walk around some. Will be hot, about 90-95 at that time of the evening. Ouch!

Joan; Again lovely wc's; the skyline, toole and the lobster. Lovely Our library is used as a place to exhibit your work as well. And not only paintings; at this moment there is an exhibition of a lady doing all kinds of embroidery in old (and allmost forgotton) techniques. And since I do embroidery myself, that was nice to see.

Ai; Nice kitchenscene; looks tasty! I love the way you did the hand and the bridge. You make wc looks so easy, and I am convinced that it is not. Beautifull!

Paul; I like the statue very much, the shiny fountain looks great. Good to hear the game went well for you!

Jo; Beautiful pocket! Hope your show was a succes! Thank you for hosting. Said that before, but mixed the days up a bit. Having a kind of busy period at the moment; mother-in-law (elderly lady 70+) had an accident with her bike a few weeks ago. Broke 3 ribs (my husband said she was exaggerating, one would have been enough) and damaged a lung and came out of hospital last week. So the lady sure can do with a bit of tlc...

Looking forward to the new list, see you!

Jo - Thank you.

Ai - Thanks. If I eat enough lobsters I should be a pro at sketching them. lol

Oban - Thank you.

Paul - Thanks. I'm happiest with lobster done as simply as possible!

Nothing new from me for this hunt. See everyone in the next one!

Re: Scavenger Hunt #277 Jul 24 - Aug 1

Hanneke, so sorry about your MIL. Nice you can help her out. The show was just that. It was a private party for conventioneers from the Hyatt Resort nearby so mostly just display for the town.

Ai, hi there, see you on your Hunt.

Paul and Joan, all the talk of lobster made us want to go to our Cajun restaurant for seafood. It was closed for the party so we ended up going to the Mediterranean Grill and had Italian. Ha.

My last for this Hunt.

Number 9, small appliance - the old irons on the porch. The two with the handles missing look like longhorns. Ha.
Number 10, buttons - a couple of brown and beige ones.
Number 11, sculpture - "Second Effort" with his missing limbs after the fire.

Thanks, all. Had a good time. See you on #278!
