Can anyone recommend a small etching press? I had a Frome, but to be honest it was exciting to have a press to begin with, but then became a bit frustrating as I progressed and it didn’t!
I would like recommendations of makes more than models as I’m not sure what size to get yet. Really I want a small table top if there is one that will give good results.
UK would be best, it would cost a fortune to have one shipped I imagine.
Thanks

No problem to ship to the UKMay 17, 2017 at 3:35 pm #1269480I like the idea of the little JM 15, but does it print drypoints well? I am looking for a little press as space is limited, but one that prints as good as a big one – is that possible?

May 17, 2017 at 6:32 pm #1269481Thanks. I’d love to hear/see reviews/results from printmakers on their (smaller) presses.
August 6, 2017 at 7:46 am #1269483I own the Polymetaal JM-15 and previously have had the JM-25. Both are excellent presses and can do any kind of printmaking job with very good results. I do mostly etchings and drypoint and I have been very happy with those presses.
Many other small presses are most suitable for lino since those lack the rigidity that is required for intaglio.

I bought a Halfwood Press, it looks amazing and prints really well. It’s a mini version of a large press.
