Re: QDC - our Quick-Dry-Cafe ..... come chat!

Our town has it's garage sale is in June every year. The rest of the city (the other 12 towns and cities) know that's when we hold our big "everything must go" event. We are going to participate this time around since everything has been stirred up by the mess in our basement. Steeling myself to part with treasures. I wonder if Harry and Meghan might pop by looking for cheap finds, now that they are on a budget. We have a nice English pram they could have cheap for little Archie! $50 Canadian. That's nothing even for a Duke on a budget.

Welcome to the Café Jennie. 25C sounds great, as long as it isn't humid. But I think Queensland has humidity? Glad you got some rain. We have been trying to send ours down there for months.

Most mornings are about 25 C. Tad hot for me.

Hi there Jennie, so glad to have a fellow Aussie on this channel. I am really happy you rural Queenslanders got some joy with the rain.

We in Sth Aus are still awaiting, although it did rain for less than 60 seconds this morning, to be fair, the weather BOM did say 0-1mm which in 60 seconds I doubt if it was that much.

Thanks for trying ColinS.. We would love a good downpour.
Glad the eastern states got it though.

Cheers
Merri

Re: QDC - our Quick-Dry-Cafe ..... come chat!

Welcome over here Jennie😃

I too have been trying to send rain to the Southern Hemisphere, hasn't worked though 😔 .... while our corner of England is relatively unscathed from two storms on consecutive weekends, the rest of the country has been deluged again .... it's heartbreaking to see villages underwater (for some, its 4th time in 8 years ) and this past weekend there was an unprecedented number of amber and red warnings across Wales and England. The Atlantic seems to want to gobble us up!
I was just thankful the storm-force winds didn't do any damage here.

Had to laugh at you keeping that pram for so many years Colin ... if it's a Silver Cross it should be worth something!😃 Good way to have a clear-out .... I should consider a table at our village table-top sale (if they have one this year!) .... have a few hundred bits of art work I should get rid of!

Merri, I do wish you hadn't mentioned those Acrylics ink pens .... I don't need more stuff, but they sound soooooo tempting! ( for those who haven't read, the post is in the DS thread!)

Back to my DS research........ 😃

Re: QDC - our Quick-Dry-Cafe ..... come chat!

Well, we called too late on Friday and they were out of Chinese food. So we got burgers and some appetizers instead. And hubby got me a potted miniature rose and an Amazon card. He was thinking this time lol. And I made a strawberry cheesecake.

Hi Jennie. We were at the opposite end of the thermometer this morning, -24 C when I got up.

Now I need to see what pens Maureen is talking about.

Re: QDC - our Quick-Dry-Cafe ..... come chat!

I have been away from here for far too long. Trying my best to get into the groove of painting again...no luck so far. I am battling lung cancer and it seems to have my mind preoccupied. Painting helped me so much when we lost a daughter in 2012 so I was hoping it would do the same for me now. I won't stop trying. In any event I will keep lurking about here to see the lovely works.
