Frigate Complete

I'm not sure that I can do much more to this without causing damage.

As for major changes, I moved a the mizzenmast over to the right from a previous version and didn't quite re-create the sky as before.
I added some background traffic to give it life, and deepened some colors.
It's quite dramatic, but I'm not sure in retrospect that I have the light and shadows correct. The sails might need to be darker.

What else? C&C most welcome.
Thomas

Looks good, I'd call it finished now. It has an old fashioned look which goes with the subject. At first I thought it was on fire!, but don't change it. It would be worth having a go at a battle scene, just have fun.

Thanks. Yes - it does sort of look as if the town is a raging blaze. I made one small change after staring at the photo - the ship to the far right is now a bit bigger.

As for the battle scene - I will give that a go. Perhaps our quasi war with the French in 1800, or the Barbari wars, so I don't have to cause a stir.

I reckon you nailed it! It's got a very pleasing feel to it.

I agree, at least the sky does.
