For the Hide and Seek Challenged - What Not To Do

As you see, our player hasn’t grasped key elements of the game. Elements such as getting behind (and not just under) something or sinking into a shadow rather than creating one by planting oneself in direct sunlight.

This is a typical move for Trooper when he isn’t trying to drive the car, defend the yard here at Deer Run, or camouflage himself in creek mud.

I have a white dog and lots of pastels...but are any of them the right color when I need them to be?

I love the way Trooper stands out from his surroundings, Aly, and it's funny to think of a white dog trying to hide! His direct gaze seems to say that he isn't posing for a formal portrait but that he's waiting for us to make the next move. Really nice!

I find your handling of the various textures to be top notch.

Hi Donna, you nailed him in one. He Is waiting for me to come play some more hide and go seek. Since he is so fast, he has a definite advantage even when his stealth skills are non existent. LOL!

Karen, Thank you. I am pretty happy with everything except Trooper. Even after a bath (which he’d just had), he never presents as that bright. I will need to tone him down without making him look like a cairn terrier.

In this I like the textures and the story it tells.
He looks definitely ready to play.
