Good morning all - been a while since I posted but I do pop in to read posts every now and again.

Busy planning an upcoming trip to the Canadian Pacific NW in a few days. We are going to fly into Vancouver, spend a couple of days there, then take the Rocky Mountaineer train through the Rockies to Banff. A couple of days in Banff, and then fly home out of Calgary. We made a similar trip a couple of years ago and it was so much fun we decided to do it again.

Took the camera to the local botanical garden for a bit yesterday. We were camping last weekend and I wasn't happy with my images... didn't seem to have any "pop" to them. Yesterday's images seemed OK though, so I guess it was just the poor lighting. Only taking the D7200 and the 28-300 lens with me on this trip, along with the wide angle 10-20. Same as I took on the Hawaii trip.

Here are a couple from yesterday.

Hope all are having a nice weekend.

Hi Don; I was wondering where you had gone to the past few weeks.

Really impressive photos, as we've come to expect from you.

Enjoy your trip. Banff is such a fine place to visit

Here's a shot taken this morning in the nice early light...

I put a similar shot of the same subject in the Darkroom.

Hi to any others who visit here as the day progresses.

Sorry I am so late to visit this Sunday's thread. Wow, what awesome images here. I have to say that all the entries agree in mood, tones and theme (Nature).

Graemek, that is a super natural bouquet of fungi and leaves. I really like the softness that you included.

Dave, Liking the movement in your twisted lean leaves.

Don, Thanks for starting the daily. You were missed. But as long as you bring us back some photo from your exciting vacations, you are allowed I hope you bring back some photos of the train you travel on and all the great things you are going to see along the way. You sure take some interesting trips. Is this a first time for this destination?

That's a great angle on the butterfly. Looks like you snuck up on him.

Peter, bummer about the computer. Did the former one die? Hopefully you were able to afford a nice new one with lots of memory and power.

Yes. New computer. Seems I have probably lost bookmarks and passwords, links to places that can't be found.

Graeme, that's super image!

MFI, so sorry about your computer woes. BTDT, and it's no fun.
