A Design "Tulips in Full Bloom" - WC & Ink

I had posted this in the Florals/Botannicals and it was suggested that I should post it here too.

This started out as a regular watercolor painting that I wasn't particularly happy with so I turned it into a design instead using watercolor paints and ink (felt tip - perm black ink) It is Canson WC paper 11 x 15 from a pad. While the paper is ok for WC it really doesn't stand up well to scrubbing or too many changes. If you know exactly what you want to do and can execute well the first time you won't have any problems using the watercolors on it. I usually am unable to do that the first time.

I'm so glad you posted the tulips here, Barbara, as a very good example of perserverance...not giving up on a painting just because it lacked 'something'. Certainly a struggle we've all experienced more than once. I love its resurgence as garden art and the black ink gives it that extra "oomph" that was needed.
