Re: Show Us Your Best Stuff, MAY, 2019

I think some of our best stuff this month may be going into the current Darkroom's Monthly Challenge, "hang it on the wall".

So, here is one I took today that I thought was pretty good but I wouldn't hang it on any of MY walls. But maybe somebody else would.

Hood Ornament

These are wonderful, Natalie.
Isn't it something how mother nature created the eyes of the turtle to match the patterns on the rest of its face? That is so clear colorful.

I especially like the pinkish flowers collection with the soft dreamy background. Wow, what a nice capture, what a nice soft moody relaxing composition.

Wow, Lorell! That photo caused a gasp. I don't know if it is the color, sharpness, background, but it is really eyecatching. :-)

Natalie, that turtle looks like he is posing for the camera. I love the flowers, especially that last one. So lovely.

Ginny, thank you.
This one shouldn't make you gasp. I am hoping for a different reaction.

Re: Show Us Your Best Stuff, MAY, 2019

What a charming lineup! I like how the one in the middle is looking straight at the camera.

I'll stick with the bird theme with this shot taken earlier today. A common Black Phoebe, caught in the rich golden light of early morning. That light revealed colors in the plumage beyond what usually appears as just gray and white.

Re: Show Us Your Best Stuff, MAY, 2019

the bird's plumage agrees with the post it is standing on and some of the background material making this a pleasant combination of subject and background. I always look for the catchlight in the eye.

Dave, so very nice with the red & green seedling against the black background.
The lighting is perfect. It is simple but eye catching. Good one, Dave.
