I like the way this is going Don . Reminds me of early morning sojourns to the Welsh mountains . Soft golden light , green hills and mist rising up the hillsides .

Re: Off-piste:- No aircraft :0)

Finished my quick car commission..
tried something a little different on this one.. the side of the car wasnt dark enough for me so I used a copic alcohol based drawing pen C-2 over it. C-2 is a cool gray, very light but it worked a treat! I also used a windsor & Newton promarker pen called 'poppy' over the red car and again it really brought the coloured pencil together with almost no bleed.

I'll be using those pens again I think!

Silver Darlings
The 'Hay Day' of the North Sea Herring Fishing. Vast shoals of Herring used to come round the top of the U.K. and work their way down the North Sea. They would be followed by a fleet of fishing boats. While ashore 'Fisher Lassies' moved south to the various ports to prosess the catch keeping pace with the shoals of fish. They gutted, salted and packed the herring into barrels. If they were lucky they were paid 6d per barrel (don't know how much that would be in the various currencies of today)

November 2003 at Bathurst Kiwi Greg Murphy achieved immortality in Australasian motor racing by his superb no mistakes lap of 2:06.8594. It took seven years to be bettered and was given the name 'Lap of the Gods'!
This pic shows 'Murph' coming through the 'dipper', left front wheel lifted and flame erupting from the exhausts on the overrun!
