Until a few minutes ago, I did not know this forum existed, but KreativeK asked me to consider posting this work here, so here goes
Travelling through the California desert the other day, we passed the historic Carillo/Warner Ranch in Warner Springs which also happened to be a stop on the Butterfield Stagecoach. This barn is on the property along the road, and the shape of the cattle chute caught my eye. I snapped a couple of pics as we whipped by, and luckily one came out.
12″ x 16″ Watercolor on cold-pressed paper. C&C is welcomed.

I really like the subject matter. I come from a long line of farmers, so I’m always glad to see the lifestyle reflected in art like this. Your colors are so wonderful, too!
