Needle Felting

Hello All,
I know it's been a while since I posted anything...I just get so busy with things that I rarely get time to breathe, much less post anything!
So, as if I needed another hobby, I've learned to do needle felting, and I must say, I am smitten! It seems to satisfy a couple of my artistic needs so I've decided to add it to the list of things in which I would like to become accomplished. Here are a few of the little critters and creatures I've done so far...still more in the works that haven't been photographed, but I'll try to do that sometime before the end of this year.
I'll be putting many of these in our local Christmas Bazaar at St. Patricks church next week-even though I would love to hold on to them all myself, but that isn't much fun, really. I hope they will make someone else smile!

Bravo! These are all delightful. Needle felting IS addicting. Believe me, do I ever know.

All are sweet, clever, cute. But the one that stands out is the goldfish. The way you have used the inherent quality of the wool roving captures the essence of "swish" as only a fish can do in water. Wonderful!

What a cute array of animals. I love to needlefelt but it is hard on my hands so have put it away for a while.....I think it as been a year

I like the shaggy dog best but the little fish would come in second.

Thanks Eva. Those sharp needles sure do pack a punch when you happen to jab yourself, don't they? It's also a bit of a pain when working on small things-still, I'm enjoying it and hope to get better at it as time goes on. The dog is a Catalan Sheepdog. I want to make an Old English, but I have to get some other fiber to make it.

These are delightful, Pam. So glad you stopped by and shared. I do understand the pain of needle felting. I have often stated that each creation requires a blood sacrifice.

I am addicted to needle felting sculpture! It stated as a curiosity, then went to and obsession and has now become an addiction hahaha I have a few samples on my art website under the fiber section. URL in my signature.

I'm now working on a commission piece of a life size cat, doing the fur in alpaca fiber. Long slow process on that one. I think I have put some process pics on my website blog if you want to watch.
