Am I an artist now?

I just did a google search and found someone has taken a low res image of one of my paintings and used it on their blog...a surprise to me...anyway is this a sign that I've made it as an artist when someone plagiarizes an image?

I really don't care if they used it, but they could have asked, or at least given me credit?

Depending on how they used the image, you might post a comment on the blog saying something like, "as the artist who painted this piece, I thank you for showing it to the world."

Yes, it must mean you are a much sought after artist. Take a bow.
As for the person who used your painting, I wonder where their sense of pride went?

Yes, Tom, you've passed a milestone. You now have a target on your back! I hope this is the start of something big for you.
