sketching at the museum

a day sketching at the museum with urban sketchers Leicester. These houses are opposite and I've always liked them. Done with fountain pen and waterbrush, about 11 inches tall.

and then I sketched on the ipad in the Egyptian gallery - full of gorgeous things and these bakers and boat really appealed to me. I didn't try to squish the whole boat in, just looking at a part of it.

must go here again

I agree with Joan. The bakers have such character. I like the composition of the railing, tree and three openings.

Re: sketching at the museum

I loved those bakers and their character - so deligted it came across

and I've always meant to draw those houses, the light was great that day, which always helps

Re: sketching at the museum

I loved the water brush work on your sketch, and the texture on your digital sketches from the Egyptian gallery .
Well, the truth, I did read again to make sure if you said digital or on the paper.
Overall, nice! Thanks for sharing.
