Re: Live From Alamosa>>>>>>

Allan thanks for bringing this to us first hand.

Aleina, You are seeing first hand how adictive this can be.so if you get hooked it is your fault. Welcome to the group and I look forward to seeing some scratches from you.

Susan, It looks like you are having a blast. Good for that!

Charlie's work is just phenominal.

So glad everyone enjoyed the show. Rick

Hey Tania were you able to get some stuff to Alamosa? Which ones did you send. We haven't got that many pic's of the work hanging at the show yet so haven't seen any of yours yet I don't think.

Seconding what everyone else said; Allen you're simply AWESOME. Your perky enthusiasm made me smile and I stayed up all night just waiting for your posts of photos and exciting tales! It totally made my otherwise uneventful night! Like everyone else, I'd love to see photos of the exhibit too! I saw a couple and they look great.

Have a lot of fun Allen, and again thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for keeping us updated so diligently! I'm greatly enjoying all the updates (even if it does make me wish I was there even more now).

Re: Live From Alamosa>>>>>>

Gray headed goateed RodMan here. LOL. Thanks hottttttt Suzy!!! LOL!!!

The show is fantasic!!! Everything went perfect. It was great to see the new works from old friends and being introduced to many of the newbies offerings. Congrats to Wildvisions for nailing down best of show. (tittled???...the B/W wolf laying down...)It had it coming!! Wonderful!! I was lucky enough to get 2nd with " filigree & me" sweeet. Cathy took 3rd with....... Crap I forgot the name..."looking into the light" ? The cat drawing.

The high point of the trip was visiting Charlies home. It's one of the warmest homes I've ever been in. Fantastic art hanging EVERYWHERE! 300? Framed pieces including many from his book. Another 200??? Stacked against the walls. Humble, Gracious, full of fun and he laughs easily!! A great man that has found his place. Thanks Charlie for opening up your home ( and feeding us like kings) have Charlie show you the "Jumping tooth pick" trick I tought him when you get a chance to meet him. LOL!

I met doc boots (Pam) and really enjoyed watching her slip into art mode during the demo's. Her husband Jim was great and seemed to enjoy himself plenty.

It's a great show to be apart of..... Congrats to all the artist for rock'n AlaMosa.

Re: Live From Alamosa>>>>>>

Post Alamosa Greetings!
What a great experience. What a pleasure meeting everyone. Now I can put a face to some of the folks on this forum. I can't say anything more that hasn't already been said about the show and the artists involved, so I'll sum it all up with one word - RESPLENDENT!

For your viewing pleasure I'll post some more photos.

Judy

Re: Live From Alamosa>>>>>>

Oh my! Wow , what an absolutely awesome thing to find when I took a break from painting to visit the forums! I'm utterly speechless here. If you could see me now, I'm blushing up a storm and grinning like mad . Congrats to Rod and Cathy as well, your pieces are gorgeous and I wish I could have been there to see them in person!

Charlie's home sounds wonderful, and quite a bit like mine in regards to having art everywhere, although I have no where near as many pieces as he does!

It sounds like everyone had an awesome time and I really hope to make it out to next year's scratchboard show, no matter where it'll be held!

I can't wait to see more photos and updates! I've been sitting here obsessively hitting 'refresh' whenever I take breaks from painting.
