Appalachian Wildflowers

Hi!!! I usually hang out in the pastels forum and just discovered this new forum....I love to paint flowers and am working on a series of 'weeds'...actually the wildflowers I come across in fields and by the roadside. Here is my latest. It's pastel on wallis paper 8x10. C & C is always welcome!
Karen

Welcome to the forum

Beautiful work Karen. I like your limited palette. Weeds although not traditionall thought of as being romantic can be portrayed as such and you have caught the romance of them very well.

Re: Appalachian Wildflowers

It's a lovely painting Karen - love the misty quality of the back/gd and the attention on the tall plants.
Lovely colour.

Ohhhh, Karen I'd not seen this one yet. You are doing such amazing things with natural settings.

This is very lovely, and it has a wonderful tranquil feel... I have a special place in my heart for "weeds".

Oh, the point of view is perfect for highlighting the beautiful lacey structure of these flowers.
